My interviewer, Elizabeth, was very kind. :) She sounded like a legit happy person so it was really easy to answer her questions. The fact that she was stuck in traffic during the interview helped too - it made the conversation really fluid and relaxed. ;D

Hell YES hahahaha this was totally me when I used to wear hijab for a few years… and this is still me, years later without the hijab ;)
(Badass Muslim Girl meme)
EDIT: I once knew a Palestinian American Muslim hijabi -one dude in high school snuck up behind her during lunch and he tried to rip her hijab off. She turned around and PUNCHED him in the nose! Good shit.
I came from the badassery.

It’s for that free-year-abroad-to-learn-a-national-safety-language scholarship thing. Um. After this interview, they make their final decisions on who gets it or not. Like. I really want it. So y’all better be prayin’ your butts off tonight for me. I will hunt you down otherwise.

My interviewer asked a lot of questions about my application and resume. He also asked about family occupation, family education, family activities, and friends. There were also several (like, 40+) yes/no questions about your family, friends, personality, and hobbies. He also asked a question something along the lines of: “If your host family or classmate said that your American accent is difficult to understand, what would you say to them?“ and “Where does your neighborhood fit in the economic scale? High, medium, or low?” and “What are some things you like to do with your friends and what would you do it you can’t do them with your host family?“
Good luck to anyone else with interviews!!!!!!!!! :D
